About this role

IQVIA's Product Engineering team in Bangalore builds AI-powered enterprise applications using Python, generative AI, APIs, cloud platforms, and microservices. What you'll do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software components in Python
  • Build, consume, and validate REST APIs and integrations
  • Develop AI solutions using LLMs, agentic AI, prompt engineering, and RAG
  • Build backend services with FastAPI and microservices architecture
  • Create automated test frameworks and reusable scripts for functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing
  • Analyze defects, find root causes, and take part in code reviews and documentation

What you need

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, Computer Applications, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with knowledge of OOP, data structures, and algorithms
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and API testing tools such as Postman
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and test automation frameworks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
