About this role

Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) makes enterprise analytics and AI software, and this AI Engineer I role is based in its Pune office, with in-person work 4 days a week. The engineer builds AI-driven applications in Python and exposes them through FastAPI REST services. The work involves integrating large language models such as OpenAI and Azure OpenAI, working with relational and vector databases and using text embeddings. Applications are deployed with Docker on AWS, Azure or GCP. It suits Python developers with 2-3 years of experience in LLM-based applications.

What you'll do

  • Develop, maintain and optimize AI-driven applications in Python
  • Write modular, object-oriented code with unit tests
  • Design and build RESTful APIs with FastAPI
  • Integrate LLMs such as OpenAI and Azure OpenAI
  • Work with relational and vector databases and implement text embedding techniques
  • Deploy AI applications on AWS, Azure or GCP using Docker, and collaborate using Git

What you need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of hands-on Python development for AI/LLM-based applications
  • Experience building RESTful APIs with FastAPI and working with relational databases
  • Experience with LLMs, vector databases, text embedding and RAG
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Docker
  • Strong Git, analytical and problem-solving skills
