QA Engineer

About this role

UptimeAI builds AI reasoning agents that help industrial operations teams make real-time decisions from operational data. This QA Engineer role in Bangalore (hybrid) covers both manual and automation testing, including testing of ML and GenAI-powered features. The engineer writes test cases, automates web and API tests, and checks model outputs against expected behaviour and business rules. They work with developers, product managers and data scientists, and report on defects and quality. It suits testers with 2–3 years of experience and some exposure to ML application testing.

What you'll do

  • Create and maintain test cases, test plans and test data from business and technical requirements
  • Run functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory and end-to-end tests
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs
  • Perform API testing and SQL-based database validation
  • Validate ML/AI outputs using varied inputs, edge cases and negative scenarios
  • Document defects clearly and report test status, risks and quality metrics

What you need

  • 2–3 years of experience in manual and automation testing
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and test design techniques
  • Hands-on experience with web and API testing and test automation
  • Basic exposure to ML and GenAI model/application testing
