About this role
athenahealth builds IT solutions and services for healthcare providers. The Result Review team in Bangalore (Whitefield) builds tools that let clinicians access and review lab and imaging results and bring external results into patient charts, including ChartSync workflows. The Member of Technical Staff develops backend services and cloud applications for these workflows, working with engineers and product managers. The role suits software engineers with a few years of Java and Spring Boot experience.

What you'll do
- Develop backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and maintain microservices, RESTful APIs and integrations
- Implement cloud-based solutions on AWS
- Troubleshoot issues and improve performance and stability
- Contribute to code reviews and automated testing
- Take part in sprint planning, document designs, and support deployments and monitoring
What you need
- 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience in backend or related development
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and service-based architectures
- Working knowledge of AWS, RESTful APIs and relational databases
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, testing, debugging and version control
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field, or equivalent experience
