About this role

Cencora is a global pharmaceutical solutions company, and this AI Developer 1 role is based at its India business services unit in Pune. The developer works with stakeholders to find business problems where AI can help, then designs and builds models and applications for them. Day to day this includes data pre-processing, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, and exploratory data analysis. The developer also tunes models for accuracy and scalability and integrates them into existing systems. It suits early-career ML or software engineers with under 2 years of experience.

What you'll do

  • Work with stakeholders to identify business problems where AI can provide solutions
  • Design and develop AI models, algorithms and applications from requirements and use cases
  • Build data pre-processing, feature engineering, and model training and evaluation pipelines
  • Run exploratory data analysis to find patterns and trends in datasets
  • Optimise and fine-tune models for accuracy, performance and scalability, and integrate them into existing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and report progress and results to stakeholders

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, information systems, machine learning or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Less than 2 years of experience in ML engineering, MLOps, platform engineering, DevOps, software engineering or a related field
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data visualization and exploratory data analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to turn business requirements into technical solutions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Preferred: certification in cloud platforms, DevOps, machine learning or automation
