About this role

This is an intermediate Applications Development Programmer Analyst role at Citi in India, working with the Technology team on new or revised application systems. The role combines Java back-end work (Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices) with ReactJS front-end development. You analyze code, consult with users and technology groups, test and debug, and look for security vulnerabilities. You also coach newer analysts and coordinate changes and release cycles with multiple stakeholders. It suits developers with 2-5 years of experience, ideally in financial services.

What you'll do

  • Identify and define system enhancements, using script tools and analyzing code
  • Consult with users, clients and other technology groups and recommend programming solutions
  • Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues, and conduct testing and debugging
  • Advise or coach new or lower level analysts
  • Build Spring Boot applications, REST APIs and microservices, and web front ends with ReactJS
  • Coordinate changes with stakeholders and manage release cycles

What you need

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry
  • Intermediate experience in an Applications Development role
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs/microservices
  • Strong experience in web development with ReactJS, HTML5, JavaScript and CSS
  • Problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
