Episode Six is a cloud-native fintech providing API-based payment processing and wallet management infrastructure. The Security Operations Centre graduate trainee role is hands-on, in a security-sensitive hybrid cloud environment with 24/7 operations. The person monitors and responds to security alerts, administers tools such as EDR, SIEM and vulnerability scanners, and supports incident response. It also involves compliance reviews and routine log reviews across environments. It suits early-career security practitioners with some certification and knowledge of Linux, Windows and AWS controls.

What you'll do
- Monitor, investigate, triage and respond to security alerts and incidents
- Administer security technologies including EDR, SIEM and vulnerability scanning tools
- Conduct routine security log reviews across production, DR, development, cloud and corporate environments
- Support vulnerability management and incident response activities
- Perform security compliance reviews of critical infrastructure such as access management, patching and firewall configurations
- Take part in on-call, shift and weekend support rota
What you need
- 0-2 years of experience with a primary focus in Information Security
- Formal security certification, or working towards one
- Good understanding of security controls
- Knowledge of security capabilities in Linux, Windows and AWS environments
- Good understanding of network security tools such as firewalls and NIDS
