What you'll do
- Monitor complex systems for known and emerging threats using intrusion detection software
- Investigate security issues by reviewing log data and triaging security events
- Carry out incident handling, including containment, protection and remediation, under supervision
- Design and configure security systems such as proxy, mail gateway, intrusion prevention, DLP, SIEM and web application firewalls
- Assess risks against ISO, PCI, HIPAA and PII guidelines and help maintain an emerging threat model
- Perform day-to-day information security functions across various security software products
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Info Security or a related field, or relevant work experience
- Typically a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Background in network operations, engineering or system administration on Unix, Linux, Mac or Windows
- Knowledge of security operations, intrusion detection, SIEM, penetration testing, web application assessment and secure coding
- Preferred: certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, Network+ or Security+
- Preferred: knowledge of compliance programs such as PCI, SOX and GLBA
