Java Full Stack Developer

About this role

This role sits in GlobalFoundries' Bengaluru India center within the Digital Manufacturing group, which builds digital solutions for 300mm and 200mm wafer fabs in Singapore, the USA and Dresden. The developer creates, supports and maintains internal Java services and applications used by other fab teams. Day to day, this means building and debugging Spring Boot and Angular applications that support manufacturing and engineering operations. The apps run in Docker containers on AWS ECS and EC2. The work involves talking to fab stakeholders and database and data teams, and handling support and troubleshooting. It suits a Java developer with a couple of years of experience and solid database skills.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, test, debug and implement Spring Boot/Angular applications for fab manufacturing and engineering operations
  • Work with fab stakeholders to turn their needs into predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions
  • Collaborate with the GFIT Manufacturing Data Domain group on data pipelines for scalable analytics solutions
  • Work with users, developers, DBAs and engineers when adding new features or fixing application issues
  • Support day-to-day operations and troubleshooting

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree with 1+ year
  • Solid Java programming and relational database skills
  • Proficiency in Angular, Java/J2EE, REST and Spring Boot
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or Redshift
  • Experience with the IntelliJ IDEA development environment
  • Preferred: AWS, Git, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins, R/Python and semiconductor experience
