About this role
GSK's Enterprise AI platform team runs platforms for AI work in production and is building up its platform engineering capability. The associate platform engineer delivers defined tasks under direction from senior engineers and helps keep the platform estate healthy. AI coding assistants are the default way of working. The role includes maintaining runbooks and onboarding materials and learning Google Cloud services and security basics. It suits early-career engineers with a software or cloud internship background who want mentored growth.

What you'll do
- Maintain runbooks, FAQs and onboarding materials for the platforms
- Apply established platform standards and patterns, flagging inconsistencies to senior engineers
- Deliver defined platform tasks under direction from senior engineers
- Learn the platform estate, developer tooling and core Google Cloud services such as IAM, BigQuery, Cloud Run and Vertex AI
- Learn GCP security basics and grow toward Platform Engineer responsibilities
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- About 2 years of experience or a relevant internship in software engineering, cloud platforms or DevOps
- Working proficiency in Python and SQL
- Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (GCP preferred; Azure or AWS acceptable)
- Hands-on use of Terraform or another IaC tool, and basic CI/CD experience
- Daily use of AI coding agents as a primary development mode
