Graduate Software Engineer
About this role
This is an entry-level software engineering role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, an edge-to-cloud technology company. It is based in Bengaluru and designated as remote, so the person mainly works from home. The engineer writes and updates code for parts of systems software such as operating systems, networking, utilities and databases. What you'll do
- Code and program enhancements, updates and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software
- Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned code
- Identify, log and debug assigned issues
- Build working relationships with internal and outsourced development partners
- Work with the project team to deliver reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low to moderately complex products
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Typically 0-2 years of experience
- Understanding of software systems design tools and languages
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of basic testing, coding and debugging procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language
