About this role
This is an onsite Bengaluru role at HPE validating Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking products. The engineer plans, runs and automates tests for features, platforms and complete solutions, including failover, upgrade and scale scenarios. Automation is built in Python, mainly with PyTest, and traffic is generated with tools such as Spirent or Ixia. The role also involves debugging across software, hardware and network layers. It suits people with 2-5 years in networking or system-level QA.

What you'll do
- Design, develop, execute and automate feature, platform and system-level test plans
- Validate Layer 2 and Layer 3 features such as switching, routing and high availability
- Build and extend Python test automation frameworks and reusable libraries
- Run end-to-end multi-device tests using traffic generators like Spirent and Ixia
- Debug failures across software, hardware and network layers with engineering teams
- Document test coverage, results and defects, and reproduce customer issues in the lab
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related field; Master's is a plus
- 2-5 years of experience in networking, platform or system-level validation/QA
- Strong Python test automation experience, preferably PyTest
- Good understanding of Ethernet, VLANs, switching, IP routing and routing adjacencies
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Networking certifications (Juniper, Cisco or equivalent) are beneficial but not mandatory
