About this role

Lifesight is a SaaS company that helps marketers use data and AI for customer acquisition, retention and marketing measurement. This Junior Fullstack AI Engineer role is based in its Bengaluru Innovation Hub, working from office five days a week. The engineer builds features across frontend, backend and data layers and integrates LLM-based capabilities such as agents and retrieval-augmented generation. It suits engineers with 1–3 years of production experience in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement end-to-end features across frontend, backend and data layers
  • Develop reliable APIs, services and backend systems used in production
  • Integrate LLM features using providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini, including prompts and structured outputs
  • Implement agent workflows and tool calling, and build RAG pipelines with embeddings and vector search
  • Design database schemas, optimize queries, and implement caching and background jobs
  • Take part in design and code reviews with product, design and engineering teams

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1–3 years of experience building and shipping production software
  • Strong programming in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python
  • Experience with fullstack frameworks (React, Next.js, FastAPI or similar) and REST APIs
  • Experience building AI applications with LLM APIs, RAG, embeddings or vector databases
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, cloud deployment, Docker and CI/CD
  • Solid data structures, algorithms and distributed systems fundamentals
