About this role
NVIDIA's Tegra SOC development group in Bengaluru is hiring a CAD Engineer to build design automation tools. The work centres on tool flows that auto-generate system fabrics, sub-systems and SOC hierarchies, with attention to usability, maintainability and scalability. The engineer also develops methodologies that bring AI into the chip design cycle and analyses productivity bottlenecks in designers' workflows. The role needs strong software development skills, especially object-oriented programming, and 2+ years of relevant experience. It is a full-time, hybrid position.

What you'll do
- Define next-generation EDA workflows for chip designers and verification engineers
- Architect and develop tools and methodologies that bring AI into the chip design cycle
- Analyze productivity bottlenecks and improve data analytics and visualizations of daily workflows
- Debug complex problems that affect the team
What you need
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Software architecture, development and testing experience, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming
- Solid Linux knowledge and strong coding skills in Perl or Python
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
