About this role

Procore makes construction management software, and this role is in its mobile development team in Bangalore. The Android engineer designs and builds customer-facing features on the Android platform, working with project stakeholders to translate customer needs into SaaS solutions. The role covers the full development lifecycle, including operational support and incident resolution. What you'll do

  • Design and build customer solutions on the Android platform with project stakeholders
  • Handle the full development lifecycle, including operational support and incident resolution
  • Follow team development standards and give technical and procedural advice
  • Self-direct work and anticipate functional limitations of the systems being built
  • Contribute to architectural design decisions with a customer-centric approach
  • Work on projects affecting scalability, performance and new value delivery

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of engineering experience, including 1+ year building native Android apps with Kotlin and Java
  • Understanding of Android architectural components (Room, LiveData, Jetpack, Compose) and MVVM
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of multi-threading, concurrent programming and performance optimization
  • Strong communication skills; Coroutines/Flows and offline-capable apps are a plus
