About this role
Prodigal is an AI platform used by banks, lenders and credit unions to run operations such as outreach, servicing and payments, with AI agents running in production across North America. This forward deployed engineer builds and deploys LLM-powered agents, including voice agents, for real customer use cases. The work covers the full lifecycle from scoping and design to deployment, monitoring and iteration. The engineer also works directly with customers and Implementation Managers to understand workflows and support go-lives. It suits engineers with 1 to 3 years in backend, data or AI work who are comfortable with ambiguity. The role is in-office, five days a week in Powai, Mumbai.

What you'll do
- Build and deploy LLM-powered AI agents, including voice agents, in production
- Own AI systems end to end from scoping and design to deployment, monitoring and iteration
- Design and optimize prompts, RAG pipelines and evaluation frameworks
- Work with customers and Implementation Managers to understand workflows and drive go-lives
What you need
- 1-3 years of experience in backend, data or AI engineering
- Strong Python and SQL
- Experience or exposure to LLMs, RAG or prompt engineering
- High ownership and ability to work in ambiguity and ship fast
- Comfortable working with customers and cross-functional teams
- Preferred: B.Tech, BE or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field
