Robotics Engineer
About this role
RNC is a small team in Mumbai (Dadar) building learning-based control for robotic systems meant for industrial use. It combines classical robotics with vision-language-action models and focuses on real hardware as much as simulation. The Robotics Engineer models manipulators, maintains simulation environments, brings up hardware and turns learned policy outputs into safe motion on real arms. The role is on-site and suits someone with 1-3 years of hands-on robotics experience who enjoys debugging real-world failures.

What you'll do
- Model and characterize robot manipulators, including kinematics, dynamics and calibration
- Build and maintain robot models and simulation environments that match real arms
- Bring up hardware such as servo/motor control, sensors, teleoperation and data-collection rigs
- Turn learned policy outputs into safe, reliable motion on hardware
- Build data pipelines for model fine-tuning across tasks and embodiments
- Set up reproducible benchmarks in sim and on the robot and debug real-world failures
What you need
- 1-3 years of hands-on robotics experience (industry, research lab or substantial personal/open-source work)
- Strong grounding in forward/inverse kinematics, rigid-body dynamics, trajectory generation and feedback control
- Experience with robot modeling (URDF/MJCF/SDF) and a physics simulator such as MuJoCo, Isaac Sim/Gym, Gazebo or PyBullet
- Proficiency in Python and C++
- Comfort with Linux, Git and working close to hardware
- Clear communication and ability to validate claims against data or source code
