IT Support Analyst

About this role

This is a first-level service desk role at RSM in Hyderabad, supporting applications, networks, platforms and servers for internal users. The analyst answers user queries by phone, chat and email and escalates to L2 or L3 when needed. The work also covers hands-on PC setup and deployment for new employees, hardware and software upgrades, and maintenance of local network devices and printers. Occasional projects include license reconciliation, vendor coordination and office moves. It suits someone with 1-3 years in IT or customer service who is comfortable juggling many tasks.

What you'll do

  • Provide phone and live chat support on computers, mobility, voice, network and software
  • Set up and deploy PCs for new employees and train them on equipment
  • Assign users and computers to groups in Active Directory
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection and software issues, and coordinate vendor repairs
  • Maintain local network devices, print servers, printers and scanners, and track hardware inventory
  • Escalate to L2/L3 and support assigned projects such as OS and hardware remediation

What you need

  • Associate degree in Information Systems, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in IT or customer service
  • Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Active Directory, ServiceNow and PC hardware
  • Knowledge of endpoint security, backup solutions and disk encryption software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organization, time management and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
