About this role

Signify, the lighting company formerly known as Philips Lighting, runs an enterprise Virtual Chatbot platform that its IT team develops and operates. The Technical Engineer in Bangalore supports building conversational flows, connecting the chatbot to enterprise systems and keeping the platform stable. Work includes configuring LLM-powered components, maintaining API integrations, testing releases and updating chatbot content with subject matter experts. The role works with the Virtual Chatbot Lead, product teams and automation squads. It suits engineers with 2 to 5 years of chatbot or application engineering experience.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain conversational flows, intents, entities and prompts, and configure LLM-powered components
  • Develop and maintain API integrations with enterprise platforms such as ITSM and HR systems
  • Monitor chatbot performance, logs and system health, and resolve defects
  • Update and validate knowledge articles and chatbot content with SMEs
  • Test new features, integrations and releases, and help create test plans and regression suites
  • Use analytics to improve containment, accuracy and user experience

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in chatbot development or application engineering
  • Hands-on experience with conversational AI platforms such as Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI or Dialogflow
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON and scripting (Python/JS preferred)
  • Understanding of NLP/NLU basics and prompt engineering
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
