About this role
The Hartford's India GCC team builds AI platform components in collaboration with data architecture, data engineering and cloud services teams. The associate engineer develops core platform capabilities and supports research and experimentation with GenAI tools and algorithms. Work is done under guidance, with regular reviews by senior engineers and project leads. The role includes exploring AWS and Google Cloud services for GenAI and ML. It suits recent engineering graduates with hands-on GenAI, ML or full-stack project or internship experience.

What you'll do
- Work with data architecture, data engineering and cloud teams to implement AI platform components
- Develop core AI platform capabilities
- Execute engineering tasks and optimize workflows under guidance
- Support research and experimentation with suitable GenAI algorithms, tools and technologies
- Explore new AWS and Google Cloud services for GenAI and ML
- Review work regularly with senior engineers and project leads
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Less than 2 years of experience accepted, with applied academic, internship or hands-on work in GenAI, ML or full-stack development
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS or Azure
- Programming experience in Python, Java or equivalent, and Terraform IaC scripting
- Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, SageMaker or Vertex AI
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing; Agile and SAFe experience is a must
