What you'll do

  • Install, configure, monitor and maintain computer applications and networks
  • Act as first point of contact for client issues with computer systems and equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve issues by questioning customers, and log and track them until resolved
  • Escalate issues to the relevant internal teams following standard procedures
  • Document technical knowledge in the knowledge base and write clear instructions
  • Help deploy new software or hardware and train users on systems

What you need

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux and Mac OS, including installing Windows 7, 8 and 10
  • Basic IP configuration, LAN configuration and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with remote desktop tools, TeamViewer and ticketing or help desk software such as Zendesk
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field; Microsoft, Linux or Cisco certification is a plus
