GET / PGET - Power Electronics Engineer
About this role
Xylem is a global water technology company, and this role sits in its India Global Capability Center, reporting to the Manager, Hardware and Firmware Engineering. The engineer supports new product development of electronics and power electronics for the Applied Water segment. Work covers circuit design, schematic and PCB review, simulation, prototype bring-up and validation for products such as VFDs, power converters and motor control. It suits recent electrical or electronics graduates with hands-on power electronics design exposure.

What you'll do
- Perform technical feasibility studies and support hardware architecture and design for power electronics products
- Design, develop, test and validate power electronics circuits and subsystems
- Work on schematic design, component selection and PCB review using Altium
- Simulate and analyze circuits using tools such as PSIM and OrCAD
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, design verification and validation testing
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, test and system teams, and maintain design documents and test reports
What you need
- 4-year bachelor's degree or master's in Power Electronics, Electrical or Electronics
- 0–1 years of experience in power electronics hardware design and development
- Hands-on experience with products such as power converters, inverters and VFDs
- Proficiency in ECAD tools, especially Altium
- Experience with simulation tools such as PSIM and OrCAD
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuits
