About this role

Zenskar is an AI-native revenue automation platform that sits between a company's CRM and ERP, automating billing, revenue recognition, collections and usage metering. This SDE-1 role is full-stack, spanning the product UI, backend services, data models and integrations. The backend is mainly Python and Postgres on AWS, with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontend. Early projects include end-to-end product workflows, clearer error handling, integration improvements, performance fixes and building AI agents for customer use cases. It suits early-career engineers with 1 to 3 years of experience, including substantial internships or strong projects, and no billing knowledge is needed. The role is hybrid, three days a week in Indiranagar, Bengaluru.

What you'll do

  • Build product workflows end to end across the frontend, API and database
  • Make failures understandable with structured API errors and clear UI states
  • Improve CRM, ERP and payment integrations, including retries and failure visibility
  • Speed up slow screens by tracing from the browser to the database
  • Write AI agents on the internal platform to solve customer use cases
  • Write tests, take part in code reviews and verify changes in production

What you need

  • 1-3 years of professional software development experience; substantial internships and strong personal or open-source projects count
  • Has built at least one non-trivial application or feature and can explain their own contribution
  • Comfortable in at least one mainstream language and willing to work in Python
  • Understanding of HTTP, APIs, databases, validation and application state
  • Ability to write readable code with common data structures and control flow
