About this role

This internship sits in Airbus's IT organisation in Bangalore, where teams build and maintain the software applications that keep the company's IT landscape running. The intern works alongside senior developers across the product lifecycle, using Agile and DevOps practices. Day to day this means helping design and build software, writing and testing code, and taking part in code reviews. It is meant to be a six-month internship, ideally starting in January 2027. What you'll do

  • Work with senior developers to understand project requirements and goals
  • Help design and develop software solutions
  • Write clean, efficient and maintainable code
  • Run unit tests and debug to keep software quality up
  • Take part in code reviews and give feedback
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Strong grasp of programming fundamentals and object-oriented concepts
  • Proficiency in at least one language such as Java or Python
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as Angular, React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Git, relational databases and SQL
  • Good problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
