This SDE-I role is an in-office backend position on the early platform team. What you'll do
- Build robust, scalable web-based applications and backend components
- Contribute to high-level and low-level designs
- Work with frontend developers and product managers to turn requirements into technical specifications
- Conduct code reviews and mentor team members on coding practices
- Ensure backend security, performance and reliability through testing, monitoring and optimization
- Take part in sprint planning and agile processes
What you need
- 0-1 years of experience in backend development
- Proficiency in a backend language such as Python, Golang, Node.js or Java
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Understanding of RESTful API design
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns and Test Driven Development
- Experience with multi-threading, concurrency and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
