About this role

Capco is a technology and management consulting firm that works with banks, insurers and other financial services clients. This QA role covers manual, API, database and automation testing for web applications, with Selenium (Java), TestNG, Cucumber and Playwright used for scripts. The tester runs functional, SIT, regression and UAT cycles, logs and tracks defects, and works with business analysts, developers and product owners in an Agile team. The role is based in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Kolkata, Mumbai or Pune on EMEA shift timings (2pm–11pm) with shift allowances, in hybrid mode with 3 days in office. It suits testers with 2–5 years of experience.

What you'll do

  • Design, create and execute test cases and scenarios for web applications
  • Perform functional, SIT, regression and UAT testing
  • Validate APIs and check backend data with SQL queries
  • Identify, log, track and verify defects through to resolution
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts with Selenium Java, TestNG, Cucumber and Playwright
  • Take part in sprint ceremonies, test planning and release activities, using Jira and Confluence

What you need

  • 2–5 years of experience in software testing
  • Strong manual testing, API testing and SQL skills
  • Hands-on experience with functional, SIT, regression and UAT testing
  • Good knowledge of Selenium Java, TestNG, Cucumber and Playwright
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Agile/Scrum
  • Willingness to work EMEA shift timings and hybrid mode with 3 days in office
