About this role

Cisco's ASIC team defines, designs and verifies ASICs and ASIC subsystems used across a range of Cisco platforms. The team works to meet power, performance and area goals and releases designs in high volume and quality. The ASIC Engineer develops designs from specification through to tape-out, owns functional areas, writes reusable code and debugs across ASIC, software and hardware levels. The role is based in Bangalore and suits engineers with a bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of related experience.

What you'll do

  • Develop high-performance ASIC designs from specification to tape-out
  • Drive the definition, architecture and design of high-performance ASICs
  • Own complex or multiple functional areas
  • Create reusable code for future projects
  • Debug at ASIC, software and hardware level
  • Solve block-level issues and take part in chip-level issue resolution

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of related experience (or a Master's degree)
  • Preferred: experience in networking technologies
  • Preferred: proven record of delivering project milestones
  • Preferred: troubleshooting and debugging ability and clear technical communication
  • Plus: experience with emulation and formal verification tools
