Software Engineer I
About this role
FactSet provides financial data and software to investment professionals. This role sits in the API platform engineering team, which builds and runs scalable APIs delivering market and reference data for both people and machine use. The Software Engineer I writes OpenAPI specifications, implements the endpoints, and tests and deploys them through CI/CD pipelines. Work is done in an agile team with architects, leads and product managers, and the team also monitors and supports deployed services. The position is in Hyderabad and suits fresh graduates with Java skills.

What you'll do
- Design and write OpenAPI specification documents from business and technical requirements
- Implement API endpoints according to approved specifications
- Apply test-driven development with automated unit and integration tests
- Use CI/CD pipelines to build, test and deploy API services
- Collaborate in an agile team with architects, engineering leads and product managers
- Monitor, support and maintain deployed services across their lifecycle
What you need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
- 0-1 years of related work experience
- Good understanding of Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a geographically distributed team
