About this role
This is an intermediate Applications Development Programmer Analyst role in Citi's technology team in India. The person helps establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs, with a focus on database work in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL plus Python scripting. Day to day it involves analysing issues, recommending and building fixes or enhancements, and testing and debugging code. It suits developers with 2 to 5 years of experience who are strong in SQL and Python.

What you'll do
- Identify and define system enhancements using knowledge of application development procedures
- Analyse issues, recommend solutions and implement them
- Conduct testing and debugging, use script tools and write code to design specifications
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and packages
- Assess risk in decisions and follow compliance, policy and control requirements
What you need
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge, including joins, stored procedures, functions, packages, table functions, cursors, indexes, constraints and views
- Python scripting, with knowledge of libraries like Polars and of multi-threading and multi-processing
- Experience programming and debugging business applications
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Bachelor's/university degree or equivalent experience
