About this role
The Unified Communications Engineering team at Comcast builds and runs voice and unified communications products for residential, commercial and wholesale customers. This Chennai role is for a full stack developer who builds web applications and API services and deploys them as containers on Kubernetes in a private cloud. The work includes improving CI/CD pipelines, building dashboards and alerts with Grafana, Prometheus and ELK, and supporting infrastructure on OpenStack. The developer collaborates with engineers in the US and India. It suits someone with a couple of years of full stack experience who likes learning open-source tools.

What you'll do
- Develop new web applications and enhance existing API services
- Write and maintain efficient code and implement unit and integration tests
- Deploy applications on Kubernetes and manage container orchestration software and repositories
- Work with CI/CD, source control, code scanning, observability, dashboards and alerting tools
- Troubleshoot issues found in testing and production
- Document designs and deployment procedures and work with QA to meet technical requirements
What you need
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a full stack engineer
- Software development experience in a cloud native environment, preferably Golang, with DevOps methodologies
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, gRPC, Python, containers or microservices
- UI development experience with ReactJS, NodeJS or Angular
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Unix/Linux basics, shell scripting and git
- Able to work nights, weekends and variable schedules as necessary
