Commvault's Business Intelligence and Analytics organization in Bangalore builds the enterprise data platforms behind its analytics and decision-making. The Data Engineer designs and runs cloud-native data pipelines and data stores, mainly on Azure Synapse and Databricks. The work includes data modeling, data quality and governance, and delivering curated datasets for Power BI reporting. The engineer partners with analytics, data science and business teams. It suits someone with 2-4 years in data engineering who is strong in SQL and Spark.

What you'll do
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and near real-time data
- Design logical and physical data models, warehouses, data marts and Lakehouse structures
- Develop solutions on Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks and SQL Server
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring and alerting
- Deliver modeled datasets for Power BI and tune SQL queries and pipelines
- Document data flows and follow version control, testing and CI/CD practices
What you need
- 2-4+ years of experience in data engineering, BI/analytics engineering or data architecture
- Strong SQL, data modeling and performance tuning skills
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred) and distributed processing such as Spark
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science or a related field
