About this role

Ema builds AI Employees that handle work in HR, IT and Finance, and its corporate IT setup has grown to need a dedicated owner. The IT Engineer runs tools, access, devices and compliance for the company while automating as much of that work as possible using AI coding tools and scripting. Tasks include automating employee onboarding and access, tracking SaaS licenses, managing laptop fleets through MDM, and producing audit evidence for compliance frameworks. The person also gives Tier 1/2 support and helps Finance and HR with tool administration questions. It suits someone early in their career who prefers automating repetitive work over handling tickets by hand.

What you'll do

  • Automate recurring manual IT tasks using AI coding tools and agentic workflows
  • Automate joiner-mover-leaver processes, Okta/SCIM provisioning and access reviews
  • Maintain SaaS tool inventories, track utilization and reclaim unused licenses
  • Manage the device fleet through MDM, including OS patching, encryption baselines and drift detection
  • Generate audit evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001 and AI governance frameworks
  • Standardize IT runbooks and deliver Tier 1/2 support with defined SLAs

What you need

  • Drive to eliminate repetitive work using AI coding tools, Python/Bash scripting and API integrations
  • 0–2 years of experience managing Cloud/SaaS infrastructure, Okta/IdP, Google Workspace and MDM platforms
  • Strict adherence to security protocols and precise documentation habits
  • Clear technical writing and verbal communication with internal stakeholders
