About this role

Flexera sells SaaS tools that help organisations manage and cut spend on IT, software and cloud. This backend role covers cloud-native, data-heavy systems: services, APIs, integrations and data pipelines written mainly in Go and Python. The engineer owns scoped features from implementation through testing and deployment, and also helps with debugging, CI/CD and production operations. The team uses AI coding tools day to day but expects each engineer to understand and validate the output. It is a work-from-home role open to candidates in India, suited to someone with 1–2 years of backend experience.

What you'll do

  • Build backend services, APIs, integrations and data pipelines in Go and Python
  • Own scoped features and improvements through implementation, testing and deployment
  • Work with cloud-native systems, Kubernetes and containers
  • Write maintainable code and automated tests; take part in code and design reviews
  • Debug issues, find root causes and implement reliable fixes
  • Contribute to CI/CD, observability and production operations

What you need

  • 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience, mainly backend
  • Programming experience in Go, Python or a similar backend language
  • Good grasp of APIs, data structures, debugging, testing and version control
  • Experience with REST APIs and relational databases
  • Familiarity with cloud-native applications and distributed systems
  • Good communication skills and ability to break down technical problems
