About this role

Guidewire Professional Services helps insurers implement and extend Guidewire's cloud platform. This role sits in the Global Delivery team and focuses on configuring and integrating ClaimCenter, the claims system for property and casualty insurers. Day to day, the person configures ClaimCenter, builds integrations with other enterprise systems, supports data migration, and works with architects, analysts, developers and QA in an Agile consulting setup. It suits someone with 2-5 years of IT experience who enjoys hands-on configuration, integration and migration work. The position is based in Bengaluru, India.

What you'll do

  • Configure ClaimCenter entities, workflows, rules, UI and product model using recommended implementation patterns
  • Join requirement and design discussions and turn business needs into configuration and integration designs
  • Build and support integrations with policy, billing, document management, payment and third-party systems using web services, REST APIs, messaging and batch processes
  • Contribute to data migration: mapping, transformation rules, scripts, test data and reconciliation
  • Write and maintain design documents, configuration workbooks, interface specifications and deployment checklists
  • Support SIT and UAT by analyzing defects and providing configuration fixes, and take part in Agile ceremonies

What you need

  • 2-5 years of overall IT experience, including hands-on work on core insurance systems for P&C insurers
  • Practical experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter on at least one implementation or major enhancement
  • Understanding of the P&C claims lifecycle (FNOL, coverage verification, reserving, litigation, recoveries, subrogation, closure)
  • Knowledge of ClaimCenter configuration concepts such as data model, workflows, rules, segments and user roles/permissions
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP web services, messaging, batch and file-based integrations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and very good spoken and written English
