About this role
Model N provides a cloud-based platform that helps Life Sciences companies manage revenue, commercialization and compliance. This Customer Support Engineer role sits in the Global Customer Success maintenance and support team in Hyderabad, on a hybrid basis. The engineer owns assigned support tickets from start to finish, troubleshooting customer issues with SQL, log analysis and Oracle tools. Day to day it involves giving customers clear updates, managing expectations and joining customer meetings, with senior colleagues guiding sensitive situations. It suits someone with a couple of years of enterprise software support experience who enjoys analytical problem solving and customer communication.

What you'll do
- Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues through the full ticket lifecycle
- Give customers frequent, clear updates and next steps
- Set and manage customer expectations
- Take part in customer meetings and discussions
- Escalate issues when customer relationships are at risk
- Build product and technical expertise and contribute to knowledge repositories and documentation
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years supporting enterprise-level software in a customer-facing environment
- Strong SQL skills (joins, subqueries, views, inline queries)
- Troubleshooting and debugging skills, including log analysis
- Experience with tools such as JSM, Oracle, SQL Developer, SharePoint and Excel
- Good written and verbal communication; able to work independently
