This full-time Software Engineer I role is based at the Chennai Embassy Tower office. The engineer works in an agile team to design, build, test and maintain software that improves customer experiences and business operations. It suits early-career developers with 1-2 years of experience in Go, TypeScript and React, and solid SQL skills.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software applications and systems
  • Work with product managers, QA engineers and other developers to define requirements and deliver solutions
  • Take part in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and fix software defects and performance issues promptly
  • Help improve development processes, tools and methods
  • Write and maintain technical documentation such as design specs, API docs and user guides

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related technical field
  • 1-2 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in a programming language such as Go (preferred), Java, Python, C# or JavaScript
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React (mandatory)
  • Strong proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including database design and SQL query optimization (mandatory)
  • Experience with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) and microservices architecture
  • Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design, plus familiarity with Agile/Scrum
