About this role
Valeo is an automotive supplier that develops technology for cleaner and safer mobility. This is a 6 to 9 month model-based development internship in Chennai within the software R&D group. The intern builds software in MATLAB/Simulink for power components such as high- or low-voltage inverters, e-motor, transmission and clutch synchronization. Work covers modelling, generating embedded C code, and testing it through simulation. It suits students interested in embedded automotive software.

What you'll do
- Turn functional requirements into modular, scalable Simulink/Stateflow models
- Generate production-quality embedded C code from Simulink models using Embedded Coder with AUTOSAR
- Run Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) tests on application software components
- Run Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulations to validate generated C code against model behavior
- Document software design, test procedures and validation results
- Review generated C code for correctness, efficiency and coding standard compliance
