Check the apply route first
Real companies take applications on their own careers page, an ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, Workable), LinkedIn Easy Apply or an e-mail on the company domain. A gmail/yahoo address, WhatsApp-only CV, Telegram link or a Google Form on another domain is a red flag.

Registration fee, laptop deposit, security amount, paid training or certification before joining are all scams, even if called refundable. A real employer pays you.
Verify the company in 2 minutes
Search the company on Google and LinkedIn. Check it has its own website, a company page with real employees, and that the same role is on its careers page.
