TCS NQT preparation: pattern, syllabus and the tricks that matter
Five practical steps to prepare for TCS NQT: know the pattern, see how TCS hires, cover the repeat topics, practise coding input and take timed mocks.

Know the pattern
NQT has a Foundation part (Numerical, Verbal, Reasoning) and an Advanced part (Advanced Quant and Reasoning, Advanced Coding). Timings and marking change by cycle, so confirm on the official TCS NextStep portal.
See how TCS hires
Check the roles and rounds TCS uses, then watch live drives so you register early.

Numerical: percentages, profit and loss, time-speed-distance, time and work, ratio, averages. Verbal: reading comprehension, error spotting, sentence completion, para jumbles. Reasoning: series, seating arrangement, coding-decoding, blood relations, syllogisms.
Practise coding with stdin
Pick one language and practise reading input yourself. Drill arrays, strings, sorting, hashmaps and two pointers, and test empty, single-element and large inputs.
n = int(input()) a = list(map(int, input().split())) print(sum(a))Take timed mocks
Practise each section on its own clock, review every wrong answer and write down why. Do easy questions first.
