Software Developer II (Back-End)
About this role
ABC Fitness makes software for fitness businesses, from small studios to large franchises. This back-end developer works on the Connect / XLerate product area, building Java services and APIs that power automations and communications. The role includes working with SQL data, code reviews and testing within an Agile, CI/CD-driven team. Collaboration with developers, product managers and testers is part of the daily routine. The role requires working from the Hyderabad office 2-3 days a week.

What you'll do
- Design and develop backend services in Java for Connect / XLerate
- Build and maintain APIs and service logic for automations and communications features
- Work with SQL and relational data as needed
- Collaborate with developers, product managers and testers to ship increments
- Take part in code reviews, testing and delivery improvements
What you need
- 2+ years building backend services with Java / JVM
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs and service-oriented backends
- Understanding of Agile, Lean and continuous delivery practices
- Knowledge of modern quality and testing principles
- Basic knowledge of code versioning tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field (preferred)
