About this role

This role is in Amgen's global Commercialization Technology team and supports portfolio governance operations capabilities. The analyst works with Product Owners, business stakeholders and technology teams to turn business needs into technology requirements. Day to day this covers requirements gathering, backlog refinement, testing, documentation and production support. The role is based in Hyderabad. It suits someone with a few years of business analyst experience in enterprise software or data solutions who is comfortable with Agile delivery.

What you'll do

  • Work with Product Owners and System Architects on business analysis aligned to product goals
  • Gather, analyze and document business processes and product requirements
  • Help prioritize release scope and refine the product backlog
  • Break Epics into Features and sprint-sized User Stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Run product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, processes and changes

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience as an information systems business analyst
  • Experience writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in tools like JIRA
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Experience supporting IT system users, including troubleshooting production issues and incident response
  • Working knowledge of application security concepts such as authentication, authorization and access controls
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
