About this role

Analog Devices' Automotive Cabin Electronics software team builds sensing, signal processing and network solutions for automotive infotainment, including DSPs and in-vehicle connectivity such as GMSL, A2B and Ethernet (E2B). This engineer develops production-ready embedded software in C/C++ and host-side support tools in C#. The work covers firmware, middleware stacks for Ethernet and ADI proprietary bus protocols, and security stacks like MACSEC and MKA. The role takes proof-of-concept technology through to production and includes unit testing and automated tests. It is based in Bengaluru and suits engineers with several years of embedded experience.

What you'll do

  • Develop production-ready embedded solutions and ROM-based firmware for automotive products
  • Develop middleware stacks for Ethernet protocols and ADI proprietary buses like E2B
  • Work on MACSEC and MKA cyber security stacks including design, development and compliance
  • Translate customer and internal requirements into software requirements and designs
  • Add features, optimise, fix defects or port existing embedded software
  • Test code at unit level, build automated embedded tests and work with external teams on issues

What you need

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent with 2-5 years of industry experience
  • Strong embedded C and/or C++ skills with signal processing fundamentals
  • Background in firmware drivers (SPI, I2C, UART), RTOS, or Linux/Android applications
  • Ability to read schematics and use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Experience in object-oriented design (C# preferable) and real-time embedded multiprocessor environments
  • Good verbal and written communication; willingness to travel 10% of the time
