Associate Data Scientist
About this role
Bureau runs a risk decisioning platform that helps banks, fintechs and other digital businesses handle compliance, fraud and transaction risk, built on a large identity knowledge graph. The Associate Data Scientist works on graph-based and ML models used to detect fraud, collusion and identity risk. Day to day, the person builds model components, runs experiments, prepares data and does light pipeline work, with guidance from a senior data scientist. They also write production-quality code and help set up ML observability. The role is full-time in Bangalore and suits someone with 1 to 3 years in data science or ML who is comfortable with ambiguity.

What you'll do
- Build and maintain features and components for graph-native models such as GNNs, embeddings and graph algorithms
- Support design, training and evaluation of statistical, ML and deep learning models for fraud and risk
- Run experiments, clean and prepare data, and do light pipeline work
- Write production-quality code and help build ML observability for your models
- Document work so teammates can pick it up
What you need
- BS/MS in ML, CS, Math, Stats or a related field
- 1 to 3 years in DS/AI/ML engineering roles; internships with shipped work count
- Strong Python and working knowledge of SQL
- Some experience moving a model from notebook toward production
- Comfort with ambiguity and unlabelled data, and the initiative to ask questions
