QA Engineer – Manual - Desktop Applications
About this role
CompuGroup Medical provides software for healthcare and runs a development center in Bangalore. This QA Engineer tests mission-critical Windows desktop products. The person runs manual UI, functional, regression and exploratory tests, logs defects, and gradually converts test cases into automated tests using C# and automation tools. What you'll do
- Perform manual UI, functional, regression and exploratory testing on desktop applications
- Write and execute test cases and scenarios based on requirements
- Log, track and verify defects in tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Test usability and installation/uninstallation of desktop applications
- Document test results and prepare test summary reports
- Extend the existing automation framework and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines
What you need
- 2+ years of experience in manual QA and automation
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Experience writing test cases, test plans and defect reports
- Knowledge of C# and .NET, and QA tools like Playwright
- Experience automating Windows desktop applications
- Good communication and analytical skills, and relevant academic qualifications
