Software Engineering Intern
About this role
CRED is a members-only community in India that rewards people for good financial behaviour. This internship is a backend engineering role in Bangalore. The intern designs, builds, tests and ships features and services with guidance from experienced mentors. Day-to-day work uses AI coding tools, but the intern is expected to verify output and understand why the code works. It suits 2027 graduates with solid programming fundamentals who are comfortable with AI-assisted development.

What you'll do
- Design, build, test and ship features and services with mentor guidance
- Use coding agents and LLM tooling in the daily workflow while owning the decision on what ships
- Write code that handles edge cases, applying testing, system design basics, data structures and APIs
- Own the outcomes of assigned areas end to end, including reliability once live
What you need
- 2027 passout
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Golang, etc.)
- Clear fundamentals in programming and problem solving
- Comfort using AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or ChatGPT day to day
- Judgment to verify AI-generated code and explain why it works
- Prior internship experience is a plus but not mandatory
