About this role

This internship sits in the AI Engineering team at Discoverdollar in Bengaluru and focuses on agentic AI built on large language models. Interns build agents that carry out multi-step business workflows by calling tools, APIs, databases and enterprise systems. Day to day, the work covers developing agents with frameworks like LangGraph and DeepAgents, connecting them to systems through MCP, tracing their behaviour, and evaluating how reliable their decisions are. What you'll do

  • Design and build AI agents and agent harnesses using LangGraph, LangChain and DeepAgents, including middleware, memory, state management and checkpointing
  • Develop and integrate MCP servers and clients, and build reusable tools for APIs, databases and enterprise applications
  • Implement tracing and monitoring for LLM and agent apps with tools such as MLflow, LangSmith, Langfuse or OpenTelemetry, and debug reliability and performance issues
  • Create evaluation datasets and automated regression tests to measure correctness, tool selection, hallucinations and task completion
  • Build LLM-powered applications and backend APIs in Python and FastAPI using prompt engineering, function calling and RAG

What you need

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, IT or a related field
  • Strong Python fundamentals, including OOP, asynchronous programming, REST APIs and JSON
  • Hands-on exposure to LangGraph, DeepAgents or comparable agent frameworks, with understanding of tool calling and agent orchestration
  • Understanding of MCP, agent execution loops, state management and error handling
  • Knowledge of LLM basics: prompts, embeddings, structured outputs, function calling and RAG
  • Git, debugging, unit testing and basic database knowledge
