About this role
HARMAN Automotive builds audio, infotainment and connected technology for vehicles. This Software Engineer role in Pune focuses on developing software models using Embedded C and/or MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow. The engineer works with system engineers to make sure models reflect system behavior and requirements, and takes part in code reviews, testing and debugging. The role reports to the Engineering Manager. It suits an electronics or E&TC engineer with 1–2 years of model-based development experience.

What you'll do
- Develop software models using Embedded C and/or MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow
- Collaborate with system engineers so models accurately reflect system behavior and requirements
- Participate in code reviews, testing and debugging
- Keep up with advances in model-based development techniques and tools
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, E&TC Engineering or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in model-based software development
- Proficiency in Embedded C and/or MATLAB
- Strong fundamentals in embedded software development and model-based development
- Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
- Good problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
