What you'll do
- Develop and maintain batch and near real-time data pipelines using Java, Python, Spark and SQL
- Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data
- Build real-time ingestion and streaming solutions with Kafka and Spark Structured Streaming
- Run data validation, reconciliation and quality checks
- Deploy applications and pipelines on AWS, Azure or GCP and support CI/CD activities
- Troubleshoot pipeline and production issues with senior engineers and join code reviews
What you need
- 1-2 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or related technical roles
- Knowledge of Java (JDK 8+) or Python, with object-oriented programming fundamentals
- Basic hands-on experience with Apache Spark, SQL and ETL/ELT concepts
- Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, relational databases and data modeling
- Basic understanding of Kafka or similar messaging platforms
- Experience or academic exposure to AWS, Azure or GCP, plus Docker, Git and CI/CD tools
