Information Security Analyst I
About this role
Mimecast is a cybersecurity company focused on protecting people, data and communications, and this role sits in its Security Operations team in Bengaluru. The Security Analyst I monitors, triages and responds to security alerts across systems and infrastructure. Work is done in rotating shifts, with projects aimed at improving detection and response. The analyst works with internal stakeholders to verify activity and reduce risk under moderate supervision. It suits someone with a couple of years in IT or security and hands-on SIEM or EDR experience.

What you'll do
- Monitor and triage security alerts independently, escalating when needed
- Find ways to improve alert accuracy and reduce noise
- Contribute to process and procedure documentation
- Research and analyze emerging threats
- Take part in compliance, audit and risk management activities as needed
What you need
- 2+ years of experience in IT, security or a related field
- Practical experience with security monitoring tools such as SIEM, EDR and IDS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of network, endpoint and cloud security concepts
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Willingness to work rotational shifts
