About this role
This R&D team in Bangalore develops networking switch and network controller IP (NETC) supporting the latest TSN standards, used in NXP microcontrollers, processors and switches for automotive, industrial and edge markets. The design engineer works on architecture, design and implementation of hardware IP and SoC products, and verifies Ethernet and networking IP. Work includes trade-off analysis, documentation, debugging test failures and improving design and verification methodology. It suits someone with a couple of years of IP or SoC experience and strong RTL skills.

What you'll do
- Verify Ethernet and networking IP for integration into next-generation SoCs
- Handle architecture, design and implementation of hardware IP and SoC products
- Perform trade-off analysis on performance and complexity
- Work with architecture, design and verification teams to deliver IP on time and with quality
- Write functional and implementation specifications for all project phases
- Debug test failures, find root causes and work with architects and designers to fix defects
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in IP and SoC products
- Knowledge of RTL coding and digital logic design
- Experience with EDA tools and scripting (Python, TCL, Perl, Makefile, Shell)
- Experience with revision control systems such as Git
- Strong communication and documentation skills
